Professional Development Director
Golden Key International Honour Society
In my leadership role with the Golden Key Honour Society, I plan and coordinate professional development events designed to enhance student employability and personal growth. This includes organizing workshops, networking sessions, and career guidance events in collaboration with organizations such as ABASA, CIMA and UJ. Each semester, I help deliver three to five major initiatives that reach over 100 students per session. My goal is to empower peers with the skills, tools, and connections they need to succeed beyond university, while also promoting a culture of academic excellence and lifelong learning.
Student Tutor
University of Johannesburg
As a student tutor at the University of Johannesburg, I support first-year students enrolled in Business Management and Software Development courses. In Business Management, I help students understand organizational theories, strategic planning, and decision-making processes. In Software Development, I guide them through coding exercises in C#, assist with debugging, and explain object-oriented programming concepts and data structures. My role also includes grading assignments, invigilating tests, and running tutorial sessions. Many of the students I mentor have shown a noticeable improvement in their grades—on average, by about 15%—which has been a fulfilling testament to the impact of peer academic support.
Software Developer / ICT Intern
Comnet Lesotho
During my internship at Comnet Lesotho, I contributed to the development of a digital queue management system using Angular and Spring Boot, which successfully streamlined customer service flow and reduced wait times by approximately 25%. I was responsible for writing a comprehensive functional requirements specification that detailed over ten key system features, ensuring alignment with both user expectations and business goals. Additionally, I participated in testing a legal aid mobile and web platform, conducting daily test cases to evaluate usability. My feedback directly informed improvements that enhanced overall user satisfaction by 40%, making the experience both technically challenging and highly rewarding.
Bachelor of Commerce in Information Systems
University of Johannesburg
I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce in Information Systems at the University of Johannesburg, where my academic journey blends both technical and business-oriented disciplines. My coursework includes Software Development, where I've gained hands-on experience in programming with C# and Python; and Database Management, where I've mastered SQL, relational database design, and normalization into 3rd Normal Form. I have also studied Project Management methodologies such as Agile and Scrum, alongside modules in Information Systems, Business Management, Enterprise Architecture, and Entrepreneurship. These courses have not only strengthened my analytical and problem-solving abilities but have also equipped me with the technical and strategic skills necessary for building and managing digital systems in real-world business environments.
International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP)
Machabeng College (Cambridge International School)
As part of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme at Machabeng College, I studied a diverse and challenging set of subjects that fostered both academic excellence and global awareness. My subject choices included IB English Language & Literature, Mathematics, Physics, Business Management, and Information Technology in a Global Society (ITGS), where I explored the social and ethical implications of digital technologies. Additionally, I pursued Mandarin Chinese, which broadened my linguistic and cultural understanding. This rigorous program helped shape my ability to think critically, research effectively, and engage with complex interdisciplinary concepts—skills that continue to support my academic and professional development today.
International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE)
Machabeng College
Prior to the IB Diploma, I completed my IGCSE qualifications at Machabeng College. My subjects included English Language & Literature, Mathematics, Physics, Business Management, Information Technology in a Global Society (ITGS), and French. These foundational studies helped me develop early proficiency in analytical writing, numerical reasoning, scientific inquiry, and an appreciation for how technology shapes our global society. Studying French also introduced me to international perspectives and cross-cultural communication. This period laid the groundwork for my interest in both technology and business.
